BORED

This was a particularly boring weekend.  Other than catching up on my Sons of Anarchy episodes thanks to my buddy Aaron and watching the Colts whoop up on the Giants, I was bored out of my skull.  I decided to document my boredom and share it with ya'll.  Enjoy...

Getting to Know the GOODe Ole Boy:10 Random Facts

Tonight I figure I'd just toss up a few random facts so ya'll can get to know this GOODe Ole Boy a little better.  Mama does a few of these and I've even learned a thing or two about her through them, so here goes...

1. I "chirp" my feet right before I go to sleep.

2. At one time I held belts in 3 different martial arts-Tae Kwon Do, Judo, and Hap Ki Do

3. Mama says I play the guitar really well, but I can't read a lick of music.

4. I was in the marching band in high school...drum section of course, because I can't read a lick of music :)

5. I am unashamed of my faith in God, and His Son, Jesus

6. I love my in-laws...

7. I was the Cowardly Lion in our high school musical

8. I like to dress in costumes...

9. My wife made me burn that costume...http://www.goodenessgracious.com/2009/11/its-goode-life-yep.html

10. I would gladly give my life and everything in it for my wife and Miss Add.  I also have no shame when it comes to them.  If they make me feel like laughing, I laugh.  If they make me feel like crying, I cry.  They truly make me who I really am, and that makes this GOODe Ole Boy pretty proud to be me...

Well, that's a little about me...how about you?  Tell me somethin' 'bout yerself!!!

My Lil' Girl...

So it's been about a week since I've been able to put up a post.  I've been busy doin' alot of book learnin' and stuff.  This GOODe Ole Boy likes to crack a beer or two every now and again, but knows it's also good to crack a book or two on occasion.

Since I'm doin' some schoolin' I'm probably not going to post every day like I want to, and hopefully like ya'll want me to as well.  But fear not followers of all things GOODe, I'm still gonna be around for a while! After I get through with all this academical stuff I'll be back in the saddle tossin' up random videos of this GOODe Ole Boy's life!  Today, it's all about Miss Add, my young'un...

Bein' out of town has had me pretty bummed lately.  I get all kinds of homesick when I don't get to see my two favorite ladies...

Ya see, they mean the world to me, and all I wanna do is be around them all the time.  They're pretty special and stuff.  Since I've been away, the little'un, has been sayin' how much she misses her daddy.  So, today I get a call from her Mama sayin' she just had to come see me.  That made this GOODe Ole Boy pretty happy!

Mama's drivin' Miss Addie over 500 miles just to give me a hug, a kiss, and a Ning-A-Ning...(ya'll might know that as eskimo kisses, but Miss Add has her own name for it :)  Mama knew just what this homesick feller needed this weekend.  I might just sneak a kiss or two from her as well!  *blush*

Thanks to modern technology, Skype has allowed me to talk to Miss Add every night.  My little webcam even has a feature where Santa can talk to her too!  That is a GOODe thing, but can have its disadvantages too.  On one hand, when Miss Add talks to Santa almost every night, she tends to behave ALOT better for Mama the next day or so.  But on the other hand, when she sees Daddy on the computer, she'd rather talk to Santa...  I guess that's okay though, as long as one of us can make her act like a lady :)

I just love watching her grow up.  She's the strongest kid I know.  She can have a 235 lb. man wrapped around her little finger even!  It's been that way ever since I first heard her heartbeat while she was swimmin' 'round in her Mama's belly.  I can't wait to see her tonight!  Gonna be one of the best weekends ever!!!  I better go get ready...

'Til next time, here's a video I did for Miss Add's birthday.  Just a small peek into how I feel about that little girl!

Meet The Family!!!

Today I thought I'd let you take a peek into my family album...

We gots lots of characters in our bloodline.  There's my oldest brothers, the twins...

Good lookin' fellers they are!  And then there is my middle brother...

He's a fashion designer.  He's into functional clothing...

Then there's the brother just older than me...

He's a romantic at heart...

Then there's me as a kid with my ma and pa...

Grandpa said he wanted a girl grandkid before he died.  Since I was the last one and not a girl, ma and pa felt bad and dressed me funny for a few years...til grandpa passed away.  I'll never forget his dying words..."Hold my beer kid, I'm gonna step outside and pee."  Grandpa forgot we was in the RV headed to Florida...

We have alot of fun as a family with a whole bunch of git togethers.  Ya'll should stop by our pool sometime for a swim!

Just watch out for the pets...

We also gots horseshoes...

And my sister-in-law is bound to show you her new tatoo...

Ya'll are welcome to stop by and see the family anytime.  Just be sure and ring the doorbell!!!

Dippin', Rubbin', Chewin'...Whatever You Call It

A few years ago, my wife and I went to visit her grandma in the hospital.  On the way back we stopped at a Wendy's to eat, (I treat my women to only the fanciest of restaurants, but White Castle was closed).  After our fine dining experience, we hopped in the car and, like always, I popped dessert in my mouth.  That's what I call a big pinch of dip in my lower lip.  I started to pour out a water bottle I had just bought and my wife, the penny pincher she is, scolded me and said to spit in my Wendy's cup instead and to save the water that had been sitting in the sun for 30 minutes.  Since I couldn't argue with her logic, I agreed.  Fast forward about an hour into the drive...my wife wakes up from her after lunch nap and decides she's thirsty.  She reaches over and grabs her my Wendy's cup and takes a BIG OLE SWALLER!  Needless to say, the rest of the car ride home was a one sided conversation consisting of "I'm so sorry!"" repeated over and over.  Oh yeah, and she punched me in the arm alot too...

Now you would think that after that pleasant little episode I would have tossed out that can of chew with my newly bruised arm, but I still kept on dippin'.  In fact, I'm typing this thing out with one in my mouth...

I know, I know...irresistible, ain't I???

I know that GOODe Ole Boys, rednecks, hicks and hillbillies alike find chewing to be a favorite past time right next to corn hole and pigeon hunts, but I've also seen alot of them fellers missing teeth, as well as lips, whole faces, and even their lives on account of a little bitty chewed up leaf.  I don't want that to be me...neither does the love of my life or Miss Add.

I've tried Chantix and the side effects of that stuff was lovely, lemme tell ya!  The box said that it may make you want to kill yerself...but not me.  I just wanted to kill other people!  I figure that ain't such a good idea.

So, got any suggestions on how this GOODe Ole Boy can get the bulge out of his lip for good???
